Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful and hang out with family and friends. It’s also time for the annual La Grange Meals-On-Wheels Thanksgiving Day ride. For 18 years, Velo Club La Grange has raised money for the West Los Angeles chapter of Meal On Wheels, a national organization dedicated to addressing Senior hunger and isolation in local communities. Serving over 40,000 meals per year to seniors and the disabled, Meals On Wheels-WLA is also serving homeless veterans at the sprawling West LA VA Campus.

On November 22nd we will meet at Peet’s in Santa Monica on 14th and Montana at 7:45 am and roll out at 8 am. We will ride to Redondo Beach and enjoy complimentary coffee and treats from our new friends at Roman Aroma. Hammerheads are welcome to add the Golf Course Loop.

Donations can be made at Peet’s as well as online before or after the ride. Any amount is welcome and appreciated. Cash and checks are both accepted in person. Credit card donations will be accepted at Peet’s only or online. Online donations can be made through https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/send-money-online. Send money to paypal@lagrange.org. Put “Meals-on-Wheels” in the note section so we know the donation is for them. ll donations are tax-deductible.
