Continuing a fantastic season of racing that has seen her earn medals on the track in both the Junior and Elite National Championships this year, Ivy Koester has been named to the USA Cycling Junior National Team and will be competing later this week at the 2018 UCI Junior Track World Championships in Aigle, Switzerland.
Ivy was selected after earning two national titles—the Junior Women’s 17-18 Scratch Race and Junior Women’s 15-18 Keirin—at the 2018 USA Cycling Junior Track National Championships that took place at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center in Trexlertown, PA in July. Ivy also took bronze in both the Junior Women’s 15-18 Sprint and Junior Women’s 15-18 Team Sprint. Ivy went on to compete at the 2018 USA Cycling Elite National Championships earlier this month in Carson, CA, ultimately taking home a bronze medal in the Women’s Sprint.
Ivy is one of only five athletes who have been selected to represent the USA at this week’s Junior World Championships. Let’s wish her luck as she looks to bring home rainbow stripes.
